Netflix signs exclusive music publishing deal with BMG

Netflix has chosen BMG to exclusively manage and administer its music publishing rights outside of the US.

The deal covers music featured in Netflix Originals programming, including Stranger Things (season 1, pictured), Last Chance U, The Do-Over, Ridiculous 6 and Chelsea.

Netflix has over 93 million subscribers in more than 190 countries who use the video streaming service to view more than 125 million hours of TV shows, movies and other content each day.

BMG will be looking after scores, transition cues, themes, and feature songs for all content owned by Netflix for TV series, feature films, documentary features, and other original content.
